What can I put in a Family Media Box?
The launch Family Media Box accepts eligible printed photographs, VHS, Hi8, MiniDV, 8mm film, audio cassettes, and family documents. Detailed packing and format policies will be published before launch acceptance.
Can I mix photos and tapes?
Yes. Mix any eligible launch formats in the same Family Media Box. They remain associated with one box and enter the same private Revisited Archive after preservation.
Do I need to count anything before ordering?
No. You purchase the Family Media Box, not separate per-item services. Revisited records the detailed inventory after the box arrives at our Oklahoma City studio.
How should I fill the box?
Pack eligible media securely and leave enough room for the box to close easily. Do not bend, compress, force, or overfill any item. Optional grouping materials may be used, but customers do not need to create an inventory.
What happens if you find an unsupported format?
Staff record the item, keep it attached to the box, notify you in plain language, and return it with the collection. Unsupported media is never silently discarded.
How do videos, recordings, and documents appear in my Archive?
Released videos have private playback and protected downloads, audio has private playback and downloads, and documents have private page or PDF viewing and downloads. They use the same People, Dates, Places, Collections, Stories, and Family Space context as photographs.
What if one box is not enough?
Add another Family Media Box to the same order, or place another order later. There is no customer-side item calculator.
What comes in the Preservation Kit?
Your kit includes packing paper, archival envelopes, a labeling pen, and instructions. Organization is optional. Use the materials only when keeping a meaningful group together would help.
Where is my collection processed?
Every supported item is processed inside the Revisited studio in Oklahoma City. We do not forward customer collections to an out-of-state processing facility.
How does Prepaid Mail-In work?
Prepaid Mail-In is included in the box price. Your Preservation Kit includes a return label for sending all filled boxes directly to Revisited in Oklahoma City.
What does Home Collection include?
For $25 once per parent order, Home Collection covers pickup of every filled box and delivery of your original media and Revisited boxes after preservation. Availability depends on the configured local service area.
What is the Revisited Archive?
The Revisited Archive is the private destination for your completed memories. It connects media with people, dates, places, relationships, timelines, stories, conversations, and controlled Family Spaces rather than delivering only a folder of files.
Is the Archive more than an online gallery?
Yes. The Memories Library is one part of the Archive. You can identify people, add dates and places, organize collections, build stories, follow timelines, collaborate through Family Spaces, and download released files while access is active.
Can I identify people and add dates or places?
Yes. After quality review, released memories can connect to people, exact or approximate dates, events, places, and collections while preservation masters remain unchanged.
Can I create stories with photographs, writing, and audio?
Yes. Story Studio combines selected memories with written introductions, chapters, family context, and recorded narration in a private family presentation.
Can relatives contribute through Family Spaces?
Yes. Invited relatives can participate according to the role they receive. Joining a Family Space does not expose a relative's separate personal Archive, and sharing a memory never transfers ownership.
Does joining a Family Space expose my personal Archive?
No. Family Space membership grants access only to the shared space and the actions allowed by that role. It does not expose either person's complete personal Archive.
Can I edit a photograph without changing the archival original?
Yes. Photo Lab adjustments create a separate edited asset while the archival master remains unchanged.
Does Photo Lab editing repair scratches or missing image detail?
No. Photo Lab provides traditional nondestructive adjustments; it does not reconstruct missing detail or promise dust, scratch, or damage restoration.
When can I download completed files?
Protected downloads become available after quality review. Your first Family Media Box includes 60 days of full Archive access, and continued online access is available through Account Settings.
When can I download my completed originals?
Protected downloads become available after final quality review while included or continued Archive access is active.
How long is Archive access included?
Your first Family Media Box includes 60 days of full Revisited Archive access beginning when the collection is ready for return. No payment method is required during that period. Continued access is available through Account Settings.
What happens to my originals?
Your original media and Revisited boxes return together after quality review. Mail-in orders use included shipping, while Home Collection orders use the second local courier visit.
Are customer memories used for AI training?
No. Customer media is never used to train artificial-intelligence models and is not used for marketing without explicit permission.
Will you add other media services?
Revisited publishes only formats whose handling, processing, quality, and return workflows have passed launch acceptance.
